Detailed Description

They are self-aligning style rockers with washers between the rollers and the rocker body for improved wear characteristics. By reducing the length of the rocker stud slots, it improves the stiffness by 30% over comparable aftermarket designs. These rockers will accommodate up to .575" valve lift. One of the main advantages of these rockers is about 2 lbs-ft in rotation torque, which provides a quieter idle.

The is a set of GM Performance Roller 1.6 Ratio Rocker Arms, Poly Locks, and Studs to fit 1998 and up 2.2 OHV engine (this is the push rod engine and not the Ecotec). Expect to see up to an 8 hp gain

These rockers are adjustable, and do require adjustment unlike the factory rocker arms which are simply torqued in place. Adjustment is accomplished best one cylinder at a time.

Start with the engine at TDC, number 1 firing postion. The remove all the existing rocker arms, and then install the new rocker arm mounting studs included with the kit. Place the the new rockers on the studs and install the poly locks. Makes all components are in contact, but do not tighten.

Starting with number one cylinder rotate the engine forward until the intake valve opens, and then starts to close. When you see intake valve start to close adjust the exhaust valve. With everything just contacting, run the poly lock down until the lifter compresses .020 inches, then using an allen wrench lock jam nut in place.

Now continue to rotate the engine until you see the exhaust valve begin to open. When the exhaust valve begins to open adjust the intake valve. Repeat on each cylinder until you have them all done. Should take about 15 minutes for the install, and another 15 minutes for the adjustment.

If you have valve rattle after you ajust your valves, then you have them to loose. If you loose compression have them two tight. We suggest going back over your adjustments after running the car for about a 1/2 hour and check to make sure you poly locks are jammed tight.
